These terms cover your use of pvinformer.com, including its events calendar, newsletter, and submission forms.
What we publish
We write a short local briefing and list events, meetings, and deadlines drawn from official and community sources. We are not a school, a school district, a city, or a campaign. We do not endorse candidates or ballot measures. A date on the calendar can change. The official page linked from an item is the one to rely on.
Nothing on the site is legal, election, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
The email newsletter
The email newsletter is optional. Sign up at Subscribe. We ask you to confirm your address before the note starts. You choose delivery days, topics, and schools, and you can change that choice or unsubscribe from a link in the note. We do not publish your email address.
Later, the newsletter may include messages from sponsors we sell directly, and the site may show light ads. Any paid message or ad will be clearly labeled as “Sponsored” or “Ad” so it is not mistaken for our news or listings. A sponsored event listing will be labeled the same way. The news and the calendar are not written to suit a sponsor, and sponsors do not get the subscriber list. If we add sponsor spots, we will say so on the Privacy page.
What you send us
Corrections, privacy requests, and accessibility notes go through the report form. Send a description we can act on. Do not send passwords, payment card numbers, government ID numbers, or someone else’s private information. You give us permission to use the report to fix the site and to reply if you left an email. We do not publish the report or the email address.
Do not misuse the site. That includes breaking into it, flooding the forms, scraping it in a way that degrades it for readers, or using it to mislead people about a Peninsula event.
Event submissions
You retain ownership of the material you submit. By submitting an event, you confirm that you have permission to share its text and images. You authorize PV Informer to edit, reproduce, and publish that material on our website and in our newsletter and social posts promoting the listing. We may decline, correct, or remove submissions. Do not submit material that violates someone else’s privacy or intellectual property rights.
Our material and other sites
Original content on PV Informer is protected by applicable copyright law. Submitted images and descriptions remain the property of their respective owners. Linked content belongs to its respective publishers. A link does not imply endorsement.
The site is provided as it is
We work to keep listings accurate and the site available. We do not promise that every item is complete, current, or free of mistakes. To the extent California law allows, PV Informer and its operator are not liable for decisions you make from a listing, a missed event, or time the site is unavailable. If a disclaimer like that is not allowed for a particular claim, the limit is the smallest one the law allows.
Law and changes
California law governs these terms. If we change them, we post the new version on this page and change the effective date. Continued use of the site after that date means you accept the update.
